Question by Brandon Fran: Is this an okay dragonquest 9 team?
Alright, so I really don’t pay attention to forums or strategy guides for games. But I’m starting to wonder if I picked a horrible team…
Minstrel-swords
Warrior-swords
Mage-knives
Martial Artist-fans
Their levels are around 26. I’m at the academy in the snowy mountain area about to get the 7th fygg. Now, I don’t know if minstrel is that useful, but since I don’t have a priest there’s healing spells and the spell that brings other members back to life. What do you think? Do I need to change anything and do some serious grinding? Or if I’ve made it this far, I’m okay?

The Dragon Quest series is amazing – especially DQ8 on PS2, because although I completed it, I am still trying to build character levels up. RPGs are pure escaspism from a dreary world, so lets not pay any attention to people who think they know how life should be lived.
I just bought DQ9 and my team is a similar layout. I’m not far from lvl 25 but haven’t encountered many problems so far. I think its important to have at least one character who can heal everyone though. If you just level up, you won’t need to resurrect anyone since you will be ahead of the game. I have a tendency to save a lot, which usually means running back and forth between town and dungeon but you also improve your levels that way. I prefer doing that then going in gung ho and getting killed and waking up in the church with no money.
